Well, you have to have some kind of absolute idle stop on your fuel injector or carborator, I don't know which you have on a Talon. When you first start the car there is usually an electronic idle motor which bleds air into your fuel mixture to maintian your idle speed during normal engine operation. But when you stop the linkage will need to hold the throttle body open a little to prevent stalling. This is usually done via some kind of absolute idle stop. Most cars have this stop hid by covering it with a rubber cap or boot. It might need to be increased a little usually a part 1/4 turn or so will do the trick. HOWEVER, before you look for the idle stop, check for a vacuum leak FIRST. This is frequently a cause of such stalling. Look UNDER all the vacuum hoses where they might have gotten rubbed through or burned through by another hot engine part. Be sure that you do not have a partially clogged air cleaner, and that all your air ducts are connected and none have come loose allowing very cold air to enter your fuel mixture and thereby leaning out your fuel mixture. There are many, many, many other possible causes for this to occur, but I'd check for vacuum leaks first, then check engine idle speed, when warm (also a throttle position sensor might cause this if it is out of adjustment.) eclipsekid 01-27-2005, 06:05 PM I had a similar problem about a year ago. Mine turned out to be a vaccum leak in the engine compartment. I taped off the hole in one of the small hoses and it fixed the problem. Don't know if this is what is happening in your case, but thought I would throw it out there. I have a '96 Non-turbo eclipse.
