Sirius Blown Radio Fuse cassius138 01-20-2005, 11:52 AM
I just recently had help from my brother-in-law to install my satillite radio from Sirius into my '96 Volks. Golf. It worked well on a couple long trips and then one day I went out to my car and the radio fuse was blown. It's since been replaced, but I'm concerned that this will be a reoccuring problem. I'm not very car savvy and wanted to see if there would be some kind of preventitive step I could take so I'm not worrying about constantly blowing my radio fuse. boschmann 01-20-2005, 03:23 PM Was anything placed into the cig lighter, it's on the same circuit. cassius138 01-20-2005, 03:53 PM Yes, the Sirius radio plugged into the cig. lighter. boschmann 01-21-2005, 03:12 PM There should be a sticker on the unit specifying how many Amps it draws, what size fuse did it blow?
