My 98 1500 4x4 5.9, has had two tranny's(auto). The new one is doing the same thing. The OD light comes on and kicks out of over drive. Then the trans temp light comes on. I thought it was how I drove it, but since the new tranny, I have babied the thing. I bought it new and it now has 103, :banghead: 000 on it (30,000 on second tranny) How do I fix it for good? I can't afford a new truck right now. What is happing to it??? : :banghead:

have the garage replace the transmission line there is a hidden checkball(ballbearing) in the supply line that starts sticking after afailure of the tanny/overheated. Hope that helps

While you are at it have them install a aftermarket trans cooler too.
