I got the Momo Airleather Subaru shift knob to replace my stock knob. I thought, "It will make the interior look better and it will feel better in my hand." Little did I know that it would actually make the car faster. The added mass of the Momo knob considerably reduces the notchy feeling of the short-shifter, thus making my shifts noticeably faster. And it also looks better (a lot) and feels better in my hand. Not the *best* $80 I ever spent, but definitely well worth it. Oh, and it says "MOMO Subaru" on the top instead of just "MOMO," so it looks factory. I would highly recommend this upgrade. If you don't care whether the knob has brushed aluminum on the bottom half, though, get the full-leather one. The aluminum is hella cold in the winter and will be hella hot in the summer. I liked the looks of it better, though, so I got it.

I got the STi short throw. The shifts are a good length and they're really solid, but they were notchy before. Now they're not. :)

Did the dealer have to order that in for ya, or did they have them in stock? Naturally, I know it will probably vary from dealer to dealer but I'm curious.

Got it from http://www.fastwrx.com/sushkn.html and it came via UPS in short order. They also have pictures, by the way, and they're the same as what it looks like in my car.
