S-10 Blazer and how hard is it to replace yourself

Where the heck is the transfercase control module located on a 97
S-10 Blazer and how hard is it to replace yourself I have a 1999 and the tccm is the front right passenger kick panel, remove the kick panel, and it is the metal box.. How do you you the tccm needs replace? it rarely go bad... Again, I guessing that the 99 is in the same place as 97... so good luck
