Hello everyone, I'm new to the boards, and thought maybe someone on here can help me out. I have a 95 neon highline and about a month ago my boyfriend took my car to a friends house and it started over heating and smoking. His friend went and picked it up with his trailer and brought it back here. The car was starting but you could see alittle smoke coming from behind the motor. now the car won't even start, we replaced the spark plugs, fuel hose and the thermostat (which was bad). It still won't start. I ran the diagnostic on the car and got afew codes, 12-23-43-21. Any help would greatly be appreciated...thanks in advance. :banghead: :crying: :confused:

what color smoke? how does the oil look? is it milky at all? if it overheated, im leaning towards headgasket issues. if the oil is milky, you will need to replace that for sure.

The smoke was white, but when we checked the oil it wasn't milky.

im still leaning towards head gasket issues. let us know
