Blocks in Springs

replacing coil springs is very expensive, and i cant stand the sagging front end of my 89 town car any longer.
Does anyone have any experience with the rubber blocks or spacers put in the front and/or rear springs on these cars or others. Does it change the ride or handling any, or simply raise the sagging parts of the car?

Not specifically with 89 TC, but I did experiment with my 68 Galaxy 500 and those aluminum "twist in" spacers.
Yes it lifted the front some, yes it stiffened the handling, yes it rode like a truck afterward.
I wouldn't recommend them in your TC for anything more than a temporary measure, or experiment.
As for new, the most expensive one I can find is $62 each. I guess it's just a matter of what you want, and how long you want it :)

the expensive part isnt the parts. i have no expertise or tools to swap out these springs, and every place i check, charges about $300 for labor

THAT SUCKS !!
Guess you don't have a buddy that likes to tinker for a 12 pack either :)
I havn't played with the rubber blocks, but I imagine they'll need some kind of spreader to get them between the coils.
