My new(new to me) corsica has been having problems starting recently. At first, it would only have difficulty starting in 32-40 degree weather, it would sometimes stall in this weather as well. I asked a friend of mine and he told me that switching to "premium" should solve the problem. Didnt really put much merit into this solution, but figured i would try it as in my mind it could be water in the gas or something. So now i drive it halfway across the state. Its now 0 degrees farenheit and the darned thing will not start. Started initailly today, but then died as i let it warm up. Now it will not start, i hear a clicking noise coming from the wire array in the upper left corner of the engine compartment. This clicking also seems to come from part of the air intake right on top of the engine. Unfortunately, cars are not my forte, computers are. Any help would be great. Thanks.

try hitting your starter while turning the key, sounds like your soleniod. Get that fixed first then we'll work on your stalling issue.

Well, The clicking noise has stopped. That was only after i had attempted to start the car, while the key was still in ignition. The car will start up, but only if i wait about 30 minutes, right now its too cold so it dies right after starting, and it will on

to continue that last post, as it wont let me edit it and i accidentally posted it when it wasnt finished...

it only starts on the first couple of attempts, then it wont even catch, and i have to wait another 30 minutes before i can attempt it again.

nope, just got the car. Was running like a champ (save for the stalling during the 32-40 degree weather) until i made a trip down south about 300 miles. Now its below zero and no starty.

I was able to drive this car back 300 miles to my hometown without actually doing any work to it. but it stalled once on the way but smooth sailing after that. Now the problem seemed to work itself out and i havent had any problems since. until tonight. Now. i started it, it ran rough for about 30 seconds and just died at about 2500 rpms.

Its doing the clicking thing again, maybe i should elaborate. The car will not start when this clicking is happening, when it does it the guages go haywire as well. THe speedometer jumps up to about 25 mph when it clicks, and the service engine and most other lights flash during the clicking again, ecm?

check your battery connections, and the connection on your starter, wiggle these wires around when its clicking, if i'm not mistaken the powewr goes to the starter then back.
