I know the curb weight of supra is a little over 3000 pounds. Does anyone know what year is the lightest and how to make it lighter thanks. :smokin:

A "little" over 3000 lbs is an understatement. If you want to get serious about making it lighteter then you have to gut it like a fish. Strip the interior, replace the sheet metal with composite body panels, replace the glass with lexan, you can remove the filler behind the bumpers, drill out non-structual body panels with a hole saw, etc. Basically if it dosen't provide a function needed to operate the vehicle its dead weight. If there is a lighter replacement part use it. If you are not serious about looseing weight, or if this is a car you plan on driving comfortably on the street, I wouldn't bother.

Look for a rare hardtop. Here's a list of parts by weight.

The reason that they are that heavy is the fact that they are all made with the same things. Even a hard top still has the support braces for a targa supra. It's very hard to get them down to a descent weight and keep the comforts that the car comes with like tacoma said, you can go with getting rid of those things but I don't think it's worth it if it's your daily driver to.
