99 silverado passenger door poppingsome_ugly_guy 01-15-2005, 10:32 PM When ever I close my passenger side door or hit a bump my door makes a popping/rattling noise. Anybody with this problem please help, its really annoying. emmitt69 01-16-2005, 05:33 AM check your hinges, only thing I can think of. Is it the whole door or somthing inside?? some_ugly_guy 01-16-2005, 05:03 PM It sorta sounds like its inside the door but I've checked a couple times and I can't find the problem. If it is the hinges making the noise, what should I do? kenny-1907 01-16-2005, 08:52 PM If it is the hinge pins , replace them. But it kinda sounds to me like it is possibly that your speaker may have come loose and that is what is ratteling in your door , it happened to a speaker in one of my rear doors. Just a thought. pwrpapa 01-17-2005, 07:22 PM Your window reg. is ready to fall off, take the door pad off and tighten the bolts. some_ugly_guy 01-17-2005, 07:32 PM I checked it today and the window bracket that holds the window up was missing a bolt! Put one right in there and all fixed, thanks guys for the heads up on what to fix. 99Z71 01-20-2005, 03:33 PM hey i'm having the same problem on the same door in my truck can you explain to me how to take the door pad off thanks some_ugly_guy 01-20-2005, 05:01 PM Its only one screw holding the door and then you pull the door up popping it off. After you do that check all your brackets for loose or missing bolts, if you can't find any bang on your door and duplicate the rattle and you will find the problem. Rbo 02-16-2005, 01:05 PM Tighten all of the 10 mm window bracket bolts on inside of door and rattle is gone vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
