Couple ?'s about a 98 accord??Dans91 03-11-2002, 03:13 AM Wussup everyone, i am new here and new to owning a Honda, well i have a 4 door honda accord LX with a vtec I-4 (2.3 I think) well anyway, i would like to know, is there anything out there that i could pull off of another (older) VTEC 2.3. (ie prelude). I really want to port and poslish a head and put it on the car, but i dont want to screw up on my only one. Well also, what is the best kind of ignition to buy for the car?? so far my mods go, cold air intake, 10.3 wires, NGK plugs, duel muffler, and that is about it. Are there any free mods i can do to my car, like with a dremmel. Well thanks alot everyone, take it easy. Thanx Dan:smoker2: HONDA_99 03-11-2002, 07:58 AM for spare engine you can look there -> http://www.car-part.com/ SweetAccord 03-11-2002, 12:35 PM I read somewhere that it's illegal to put an engine in your car that is older than your car HONDA_99 03-11-2002, 12:55 PM its illigal if you get cought. SpoilerV2 03-11-2002, 01:06 PM hold up.. the H23 is a DOHC engine while the F23 is a SOHC only thing i think is compatible is the Tranni.... They are completely different engine types. VTECseoul 03-12-2002, 05:28 AM an ignition kit won't do you any good - it won't do anything at all w/ what you have now. only other options you got left is the headers, & nitrous or turbo kit. no other car Honda makes can swap parts out w/ our 2.3L SOHC motor, except the tranny. most shops will do a 5-spd conversion for $600+tranny. you can get another F23 cam & send it to Crower & request a hardfacing to get higher lift on the VTEC lobe. www.crower.com vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
