hello everyone i am having the same problem a lot of people are having with the 2000 buick lesabre window regulators. specifically the front driver side and both rear passenger doors. the dealer wants to charge so much for this that i want to do it myself. does anyone know how to remove the front and / back door panels. there doesn't seem to be any documentation on the procedure at all. thanks.

I just did this yesterday!

I have a 1993 so the set up is probably a little different. I removed the red reflector on the end of the door which revealed (2) 10mm bolts. I then removed window, seat controls unit in the arm rest and found 2 more 10 mm bolts. Remove these and the door should pop off. be careful around the window opening. The rest of the panel is held with plastic fastners that should easily pop out.

I simply had to adjust the tracks and relube to get mine working again.

I did this job about a couple of weeks ago on a rear window. The door panels are really on there because of the type of fasteners used nowadays. They are secured to the panel with a plastic cage around the fastener. It really helps to have a "clip zip tool" for the removal of the panel. You can check it out at Napa or look on the Internet. You can look down a little further for power windows of where I posted the breakdown for the replacement of the window regulator. Hope this helps you out.

I agree with CAMFLIGHTRN..
remove reflector...
these doors can be a real pain to remove, without breaking anything..

Foustware,
Have you gotten into the door yet?

Check my 8/28/04 posting. Let me know if I can provide further assistance.
