You can't take out the OEM alarm. It is part of the BCM. You will have to make it part or work with the new alarm. It's real easy. Done it a lot of times.

Hi, you will get an interface module to work with the BCM (Body Control Module). You then will have two working alarms. If it is a 2003 and up you will need a second interface module for the new Passlock.
Take care, Eggert :bananasmi
