I have a 92 grand am gt 3.3 L engine. My car sometimes has a horrible idle. and likes to stall at idles speeds. any suggestions on this? also when the car stays running at idle speeds my rpms constantly fluctuate almost to the point of stalling out and my volt meter drops to around ten.

Check your battery cable connections and ground connections for loose connection or corroded connetion.

Have your alternator and battery tested at Autozone. If the alternator and battery is fine, check the IAC (Idle Air Controll solenoid). Remove it and clean it and then the spot where the IAC goes into the throttle body.

Getting 10 volts is a sign of faulty connection or failing alternator/battery.
