1996 Z34 quick questionsjürgen 01-13-2005, 10:11 PM I just bougt the car and so far I am very pleased with it (...besides the "check engine soon"-light and the resulting shop visit...). Unfortunately there came no owner manual with it. Consequently, the following questions: 1. What is the appropriate tire pressure? (P225/60R16) 2. Underneath and a bit to the left of the steering wheel there is a yellow button. What is it for? 3. What is the button at the head of the blinker lever for? 4. What is the switch at the almost-end of the blinker lever for? (not the switch for the windshield fluid) 5. The car has 111000 miles on it. What would you recommend regarding a transmission fluid change? (so far, the transmission shifts smoothly). Thanks wpbharry 01-14-2005, 07:42 AM I sold my '96 Z34 back in '98 (because it was a lemon), but I can help with a few: #2: Power Trunk Release #3 & 4: Cruise Control buttons You really should get a Manual. Maybe someone can look in the back of theirs and give you details on how to order one. Very few Z34s have made it near or over 100,000 miles. Yours is very rare, indeed. dwalmop 01-15-2005, 05:18 PM Correct tire pressure should be 30 front/30 rear (should say on the inside of the door for sure). The yellow button is trunk release. The button at the head of the blinker is to set the cruise. The switch you are describing 1) turns cruise on. 2) the r/a is resume/accel. resumes previous speed or accelerates the car 1 or 2 mph/depression. A transmission fluid/filter change is definately a good idea after 110,000 miles. Shan23 01-20-2005, 04:11 PM Would jus like to say my 96 Z34 3.4 jus hit 120,000mi the other day and it rides like a dream! And maybe try checkin out a junkyard to see if they have a manual, mine got ruined n i got one there for $5. jürgen 01-22-2005, 07:34 PM ...for your fast response. It helped a lot. Carlo just hit 118K. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
