Hi, New here, but finding a lot of useful information!
The clutch on my 4Runner is about to fizzle out. Have to press it ALL the way to the floor to start the truck, and first and second gears are NOT happy. Had to use the clutch cancel button to start it to get home tonight. My question is this: is this a hydraulic clutch, so I can add some fluid to reservoir to get me (safely) to the mechanic's shop? Any advice appreciated! I love this old truck (188k miles!)...

I had the same problem. It is the support that holds the clutch that is broken. It is located inside the truck just above the clutch pedal. I had mine fixed at a shop and it was not too much. They said it was a common problem and could not beleive I had 240,000 miles when it happened

i'm having the same problem. toyota wants $164 for a replacement. how did the shop go about fixing it? thanks
