Hi all,

I have a problem with my 97' civic, every time the aircon on, my RPM goes down to nearly 200 rpm, sometime the engine shut off, after several second the rpm back to normal to 800 rpm (if i press the clutch the rpm can immediately goes up to 800 rpm).

What is the problem for this slow response of the RPM before it goes back to normal rpm (around 800 rpm) when the aircon just on?

I have cleaned the thortle body and IAC/EACV but the problem is still there,very anoying especially at trafic light.

My mechanic told me that my EACV is spoilt, is it true? because my check engine light is not on.

my rpms drop really low at times, hast really bothered me, just saves gas, its never shut off on me tho. u could reset ur ecu, pull out the ecm fuse for like 5-10 minutes, then, put it back in and let it idle for 5 minutes or so, maybe it will work
