E350 oil pump replacement

I got a 94 E350 1 ton van 225,000 K thing runs great, but the oil pressure guage is running low. No ticks yet. Has anyone got any advice on changing the oil pump on this thing. Is it a weekend job or time to put a Jasper in it?

Well I would bet a couple grand there is absolutely nothing wrong with either the engine or the oil pump.

Ford went to what we call an "idiot gauge" for the oil pressure in about 1988. It either reads pressure, or it does not, it DOES NOT indicate ACTUAL oil pressure, only whether you have it or not.

The most common reason for your symptoms is a defective oil pressure SWITCH, it is mounted near the oil filter.
