Possibly could be the fix? The simple fact is that when I tried to pull the filter off manually without a tool I chewed up or broke the clips in the line itself and am now without a car, boohoo. STUPID thing to do yourself, I WARN EVERYONE, DON'T CHANGE YOUR FUEL FILTER WITHOUT SOME SORT OF TOOL!!! I'll keep you updated on the status of my fuel line but as for now I'm going to the Ford Dealership and ask them what the heck I need...

Thanks man, I'm going to the dealer today to get it checked out...too much stress otherwise. I don't know what connection I have but I think, maybe, a duckbill clip. It says that there should be an arrow on the filter too, well there is but it says 'in' and I guess that is supposed to go towards the gas tank, why would the 'in' go toward the engine right? The fuel from the tank goes in the filter and out to the engine or am I off on that one?

Tried that one myself a few years back. Turned out to be a $900 fuel filter change, since they had to drop the tank and replace the line. Oh yeah, the gas guage stopped working a few months afterward. Decided that 300 miles on the trip odemeter works just fine.

That's an optimistic smile, it's nasty here and haven't been able to look in the line for the clips but I did go to an auto store and found some clips that look like they'll fit in the line, we'll see, just hope it doesn't cost me $900 now!!!
