Hello Gang,
I looked at buying a 1996 Sierra 4X4 today.
It's a nice truck, but in his verbal diarrea, the salesman said it was a rare 3rd door truck and that they weren't officially made until 1997.
No biggie to me....but is he full of BS????
Much appreciated,

Interesting...did a "Google" on the 3rd door.

Apparently it WAS the first year and an option at the time for the 4X4 C/K 1500 models ONLY.

and.... there was a problem with FORD when introduced.

I have a 3 door truck.... I know i shouldent complane because I bought it... but it dosent make sense to me why they would only put 3 doors on these things. Its a pain in the ass. My back seat is gettin so worn out because whenever people have to get in they have to slide accross the back seat. The 3rd door is all outta wack because its only one in use. If theirs something back their on my side, i gotta get out and walk all the way around the truck to get it (yes, im lazy). It just seems like when they came up with the ides to put rear doors on the ext. cab trucks, why not on both sides, it took them 4 years to figure this out? I think they started the 4 door in late 2000. It just dosent make sense.

Sorry about my little rant.
