I have a 2001 GMC Sierra....wondering where I would look to see if it has the engine block heater and where the cord/plug in would be. Thanks.

On my 94 it is on the drivers side of the engine and the cable runs along the drivers side frame rail

Best way to tell if you have a block heater if you can't see the cord on either side of the engine or on the fenders, is to crawl underneath and look below the exaust manifolds of the engine. This heater replaces one of your engine frost plugs which are round and on the side of the engine.. Frost plugs are on engines so when it freezes the plug will pop out and not let the engine block crack. They don't always work though.
