Rattle under the car when making a strong turn.Pemolis 01-10-2005, 07:41 PM Everytime I make a strong turn (or a light turn), I hear a light rattle under the car chassie. It sounds like someone rattling a baseball wrapped in towel which is banging on a metal can. Dealer said it was the spare tire/jack. I removed them both, and it ain't it. Any idea's? I know something is loose, just no idea what. DaMoNe6969 01-10-2005, 07:44 PM is the rattle coming from the front? rear? can you feel it in the wheel or pedal? Im also not gettin much mentally out of your description of the sound.. could you try to better decribe it?? Pemolis 01-10-2005, 08:48 PM Well I don't feel it in the brakes, gas or wheel. It is just a sound like something got caught and is banging lightly against the chassie. Honestly I cannot tell if it is comming from the front or the back. It is so universal it sounds like its comming from right under the seat. It isn't much I know. justlearning 01-11-2005, 01:14 AM well does it only do it if you have the wheel turned all the way to a locked posistion or is it when making any turn Savage Messiah 01-11-2005, 01:37 AM happened to me and I needed a new torque arm... or control arm i forgot which right now. Start there. 89IROC&RS 01-11-2005, 09:00 PM sounds like exhaust. catalytic converter, or maybe a loose exhaust hanger. Pemolis 01-11-2005, 09:42 PM sounds like exhaust. catalytic converter, or maybe a loose exhaust hanger. I'm going to check the exhaust and muffler and make sure everythings tight under there. on the arm thing, have no idea what I can do about that. blindeyed 05-10-2007, 11:05 PM Way way old thread my friend. I realize that you were just trying to update us on the situation, and figure out a new problem. In that type of situation though, it is best to just start a new thread, with a link to the old thread in it. This has all been done for you here vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
