The sqweek because water was seeping in the holes on the tops. If you get some silicone sealer then it will be fine.

No they work great. After last friday when I took apart my entire suspenion and raised the car a wheeee bit I reassembled the rears properly and used some silicone to fill the top holes. Its nice and quite now.

As an experiment if you have open wheels in the back stick your arm through and reach for the rear shock. if you can get your fingers through the spring feel around the rubber dustboot and see exactly how much suspenion travel you have there...it won't be much. The new mounts when installed properly should give you at least an extra 3/4" suspension travel in the rear.

hehe ok, kewl.. i ordered them this afternoon :)

...ssshhh dont tell anyone, but my car is now riding on stock suspension!@$!@ AAACK!! i think tomorrow i'll put my stock wheels on too so that i can clean my 18's and so it wont look like i'm drivin a 4x4!!!

my gc/koni's took a new home today and i should have luke's old tein's in a few days (he sold them to get the JIC coilovers)

btw jason... the tein struts.. are they shorter than the stock ones?

i believe the tein's are about 30mm (1.18 in) shorter than the stockers

hmm.. good thing i just got a spring compressor so i can fiddle with the height of the tein suspension with out having to be a pain in someones ass heheh...

i got the mounts today. didnt realize they'd be so heavy...

they look like they are aluminum in the pictures, so i thought they were gonna be extremely lightweight in addition to giving more suspension travel..

Umm there's no real fiddling with the height. You have three setting to choose from. My recommendation is the second from the bottom setting. Trust me it doesn't look like a big difference but it helps. Also if you can cut out a doughnut of your bumpstops like I did. It makes the ride MUCH better.

It's not that big of difference. Don't forget to plug those holes in the top with some Automotive Goop or silicon sealer. Otherwise you'll get water in the rear and your suspension will squeek on rainy days.

i'm assuming you mean those two large holes?

the mounts come with 4 holes, 2 for screws, and 2 for uhm... nothing? hehe

It's the part that bacially keep the whole assembely together and attaches to the body.
