Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if there is any way to swap the split-bench lesabre seats for say ...a couple of bucket seats? and if so where would i go to get , either the parts or the service?

Any help would be appreciated

From my experiences (i've owned in the vicinity of 19 vehicles in the last 20 years,) you can in most cases swap out seats. I believe that if the vehicle came with the seats in question as an option, then they will work. My main experience is with GM although my 1976 Ford E 100 van had mid '60s Mustang bucket seats in it. I think the floor pans in these cars usually only have one set of bolt holes. And as long as you stick with same class of vehicle,(i.e. full size, mid size,) they will work. I'm sure the seats from say an '89 Delta 88 would work with an '89 Lesabre as would a Bonneville, but I dont think seats from an "88 Monte Carlo would fit an' 88 Lesabre. Their is a book that salvage yards use called a Hollander manual that lists parts from vehicles that can be used in other vehicles. That may have a listing for seats, I'm not sure. For the parts, I would check your local salvage yards. They are an excellent source for seats. Most even have a locator service and can search out what you are looking for with other yards on the network. Other sources would be your local paper want ads, eBay, or even do a Google search. You can have a body shop, or even a standard repair shop swap out the seats for you. Or you can even try to do it yourself. It isn't that hard, unless you have power seats,(not sure on this - have never swapped out power seats before, not sure how much the procedure varies from non power seats.) You also might want to have a can of WD40 or similar product as the nuts tend to be rusty on the bolts that hold the seat to the car.
