ZedEx 01-07-2005, 02:55 PM ... www.jbskyline.com Should tell you everything you need to know about Skylines in general, and for the most part their information is accurate. -Wes blight 01-07-2005, 03:06 PM yes but it does not mention the convertable- yes there was one i have seen it and it was NOT a custom job if youa re htinking that i don't know what i am talking about- great link though can you say "bookmark"? my3rdskyline 01-07-2005, 10:11 PM i have never seen or heard of a convertible skyline. please provide some more info... i'd like to see this too.. :) thegladhatter 01-08-2005, 10:14 PM it and it was NOT a custom job if youa re htinking that i don't know what i am talking about You read my mind. I have NEVER heard of a Skyline Convertible. Doesn't mean there never was one...but I have never heard of one. ZedEx 01-08-2005, 11:07 PM Yea I was kind of thinking the same thing... Wasnt entirely sure so I didnt say anything. Where did you hear of this 'Vert Skyline blight? -Wes GTR2b 01-09-2005, 12:56 AM yes but it does not mention the convertable- yes there was one i have seen it and it was NOT a custom job if youa re htinking that i don't know what i am talking about- great link though can you say "bookmark"? Oh don't worry about it blight. We wouldn't DREAM of you posting something out here when you didn't know what you were talking about. PS, I haven't heard of a Skyline Convertible either. Now where did I put that "This thread is useless without links" thingy? nismo_power 01-09-2005, 03:07 AM i was going to say the exact same thing....sky convertable? ive heard of custom jobs of it being done but im pretty sure none of them came with a drop top option. blight 01-09-2005, 05:32 AM Well i have some pics of what i found on my computer does anyone know of a good pic host so i can post them... i forgot the web site sorry guys i think it was at r31 skyline club under one of ther galleries there was ike 5 pictures. there was onyl pics of the top down i was disaoointed. Anyhow need more pics of that. if we can find them. GTES-t 01-09-2005, 09:31 AM I've never heard of any convertible Skyline. I've got a Japanese book, History of the Skyline, which has every model of Skyline made since the 1st, and it doesn't show any convertible models ever. And this book has some rare and little known Skylines. Including a C211 Skyline Diesel GT which was powered by the LD28, and the R30 Hatchback, the only hatchback Skyline I've ever heard of. On a side note, it even shows an ad for the R30 2000GT with Paul Newman! ZedEx 01-09-2005, 10:40 AM blight, go to www.imageshack.us to host pics... I want to see this... -Wes nismo_power 01-09-2005, 02:52 PM or www.photobucket.com ZedEx 01-09-2005, 03:46 PM Im going to seriously laugh if its some sorry ass attempt at a photochop... But I wouldnt put it past ol' blight there  -Wes thegladhatter 01-09-2005, 06:21 PM Well i have some pics of what i found on my computer does anyone know of a good pic host so i can post them... . You can put them right in the AF galleries. You don't NEED a host. matada 01-09-2005, 07:26 PM there was NO factory convertible skyline. There was, however a factory convertible S-15 Silvia, which is the "varietta" or some nonsense like that. They were all non-turbo automatics. blight 01-09-2005, 10:21 PM my3rdskyline 01-09-2005, 10:23 PM Moppie 01-09-2005, 10:32 PM Looks like someone got busy with the tinsnips. blight 01-09-2005, 10:44 PM GTR2b 01-10-2005, 12:06 AM That's a custom job. Now I'm curious blight. Is THIS the car that all the sudden made you assume that there was a factory R31 Convertible? Back when mini-trucks were popular (when you were in Kindergarten) I saw a couple convertible Nissan Pickups. That didn't mean that I ran around making statements like "Hey, did you know that Nissan made convertible pickups?" and "I know what I'm talking about". BTW, I have a bridge that I want to sell you... it's called the Brooklyn, maybe you've heard of it? I'll give you a killer deal.... thegladhatter 01-10-2005, 12:12 AM Please tell me you don't really think that is a factory installed rag-top! http://img113.exs.cx/img113/826/237bw.jpg blight 01-10-2005, 01:04 AM i did think it was a little fishy when i never saw or heard of it before.. but i can't tell i have never seen the differnece between a custom rag and a real one in real life hey at least i admit it nismo_power 01-10-2005, 01:58 AM one from the factory would look alot better. it wouldnt have the rivits showing, and the drop top should come down almost flat with the trunk. blight 01-10-2005, 09:07 AM thanks i'll keep that in mind 1viadrft 01-10-2005, 05:12 PM Looks kinda crappy... reminiscant of a Fox Body Mustang. nismo_power 01-10-2005, 05:32 PM Looks kinda crappy... reminiscant of a Fox Body Mustang. i was thinking that exact same thing. ZedEx 01-10-2005, 08:04 PM I actually thought it was a Shitstain at first... Then I looked at the lines... And was even more disgusted  -Wes nitrous36 01-16-2005, 02:09 AM Hey blight. You got a pm. Dreamspawn 02-22-2005, 02:37 PM I've never heard of any convertible Skyline. Hey GTES-t do u know if there is ne U.S. counter part to that book. If not could u show me where u got yours and i'll try my best at translating. GTES-t 02-22-2005, 06:17 PM Unfortunately, I got the book while I was living in Japan, so I really don't know where you could get it from. It's only in Japanese, which, I can't read well at all! I just did some searching and I found a reference of it on Yahoo Shopping Japan: http://7andy.yahoo.co.jp/books/detail?accd=07091431 I don't know if they would ship outside Japan or how to even order off of there, but I think it's out of print. Dreamspawn 02-22-2005, 10:58 PM i'm hoping if can get it i could scan it and use one of those programs that turns it into a word doc so i cna then translate via internet. BTW thanks for looking that up. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
