You read my mind. I have NEVER heard of a Skyline Convertible. Doesn't mean there never was one...but I have never heard of one.

i was going to say the exact same thing....sky convertable? ive heard of custom jobs of it being done but im pretty sure none of them came with a drop top option.

Well i have some pics of what i found on my computer does anyone know of a good pic host so i can post them... i forgot the web site sorry guys i think it was at r31 skyline club under one of ther galleries there was ike 5 pictures. there was onyl pics of the top down i was disaoointed.

But when i saw it i was like oh my god. first time i saw or even heard of one either no notes on it either and their forums are down right now. so...

Anyhow need more pics of that. if we can find them.

I've never heard of any convertible Skyline. I've got a Japanese book, History of the Skyline, which has every model of Skyline made since the 1st, and it doesn't show any convertible models ever. And this book has some rare and little known Skylines. Including a C211 Skyline Diesel GT which was powered by the LD28, and the R30 Hatchback, the only hatchback Skyline I've ever heard of.

On a side note, it even shows an ad for the R30 2000GT with Paul Newman!

there was NO factory convertible skyline. There was, however a factory convertible S-15 Silvia, which is the "varietta" or some nonsense like that. They were all non-turbo automatics.

Now I'm curious blight. Is THIS the car that all the sudden made you assume that there was a factory R31 Convertible?

Back when mini-trucks were popular (when you were in Kindergarten) I saw a couple convertible Nissan Pickups. That didn't mean that I ran around making statements like "Hey, did you know that Nissan made convertible pickups?" and "I know what I'm talking about".

BTW, I have a bridge that I want to sell you... it's called the Brooklyn, maybe you've heard of it? I'll give you a killer deal....

i did think it was a little fishy when i never saw or heard of it before.. but i can't tell i have never seen the differnece between a custom rag and a real one in real life

one from the factory would look alot better. it wouldnt have the rivits showing, and the drop top should come down almost flat with the trunk.

Hey GTES-t do u know if there is ne U.S. counter part to that book. If not could u show me where u got yours and i'll try my best at translating.

Unfortunately, I got the book while I was living in Japan, so I really don't know where you could get it from. It's only in Japanese, which, I can't read well at all!

I just did some searching and I found a reference of it on Yahoo Shopping Japan:
