Quick question, what are traction bars and what do they do?

They are bars that bolt to the rear leafsprings on your car. They eliminate wheel hop and give you more bite off the line. They are necessary for a higher horsepower application, and look pretty cool from the back as well. One word of advice.. you will often see places that sell "Universal" (I know Autozone sells "Lakewood" model universal bars).. In my opinion it is best to stay away from them because they don't last very long. Better to save up and spend a 100 or so on a really good competetion engineering set.

These are just about the best you can buy for a Nova.

Lakewood also sells good NON universal sets too, for a little cheaper and also gives the option of buying competition bars, and street bars.

Hope this helps.
