Supercharging a '91 Buick Regal Limited 3.8LitreAlienEvolution 01-06-2005, 12:13 AM Assuming i could get ahold of a supercharger for my buick, how difficult would the installation be for me? I do have more than average knowledge about cars and how engines work, and work very well with my hands. What things would supercharging my buick entail? would i have to have it tuned to work properly, or make modifications to the CPU (also not a problem, i have a lot of experience working with home computers and electronics)? Furthermore, would weather such as snow and heavy rain effect the engine in any way, I will most likely have to cut a hole in my hood (which i have no problem with) to allow the supercharger to fit. Thanks! i3o2Matt 01-06-2005, 10:25 AM i think this question would be better answered in the technical threads of these forums... CivRacer95 01-06-2005, 12:57 PM Or Forced Induction  .Late... i3o2Matt 01-06-2005, 01:58 PM close enough  drdisque 01-06-2005, 03:08 PM it would be easier to just swap in a 3800 Series I supercharged motor from an early Bonneville SSEi or Riviera SC. That way you get a block thats built for the boost and you don't have to tear your engine apart. CamaroSSBoy346 01-06-2005, 05:21 PM ^ I agree. btw, drdisque, did you used to visit an MSN Chat room called "Street Racing"? drdisque 01-07-2005, 03:31 PM yep, thats me 93N2OSHO 01-08-2005, 02:50 PM I would look for a series II or go to www.3800performance.com. They make turbo kits for 3800's for I think around $3000 AlienEvolution 01-08-2005, 05:51 PM thanks 93N20SHO changing out the engine isnt an option for me... :/ vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
