Intrepid electrical problem

Have a 1998 Intrepid that has intermittent dash failure - all indicators, lights and gauges, including speedometer. Turning off car and restarting in neutral generally corrects, but not always. If driven without dash, will generally come on while driving, but while off, will not shift gears. Radio only adjusts periodically, and sometimes buttons trigger other actions, i.e. station buttons change from FM to AM, CD player only works periodically and ejects CD's otherwise, etc. So frustrated! Any ideas? Just had to replace many engine parts despite oil changes at 2500 miles, so don't want to have to spend a fortune to "find" this problem if not necessary, but worry that airbags will not activate if dashboard is inactive or goes inactive while driving. Thanks! Joyce

You have either a communication problem between your instrument cluster and body control module or you have a bulkhead connector that is loose and not making good contact.

I have the same type of problem with my 95' Intrepid. I find if I rapidly move the key back and forth fast the gauges usally comes on.
Where would this dash cluster be located? Also can anyone walk me through the process of replacing the fuel injectors, in my 95'Intrepid.
