HELP ! my radio in my 1998 ltd just died... I have removed it and tried to fix it but had no luck. I put it all back together and resigned myself to buy a new one. Anyone have a good recomendation for replacement ? Ideally i would like Satelitte but I also need cd and AM (local) radio etc. i really do not want to put too much money into it. For the amount of money that a new factory toyota unit is going to cost you. You'd might as well go aftermarket. You will get better sound quality and a lot of extra features. One manufacturer that i recommend is Alpine. Their products have a lot of "clarity" when it comes to sound. XM radio is also available on their head units. I've got Alpine all the way in my truck and the sound is real good.
