played with a brand new '04 mustang cobra tonightec437 01-04-2005, 02:53 AM So I pull up to the light in my lexus. Now, my lexus is no slouch, 250hp stock, and I was already in sport mode. I hear some kind of exotic revving next to me, and then the light turns green. It's a brand shiny new '04 mustang cobra, bought earlier that night. I'm pretty sure the guy was on the way home from the dealer. With an evil grin I floor it and the V8 roars to life. I obviously caught him off gaurd, and could tell he wasn't expecting anything, but I could tell from his exhaust note and the whine of that massive supercharger that he wanted to catch up. Up to 6k in first, then my slushomatic shifts into second. up to 6k again, and I start to let off cause I'm about a bus length ahead. At this point I'm going 55+ in a 35, and hes edging up to me in my blind spot. Now he wanted to pass me, but I wouldn't let him. I guess I'd given him a surprise, cause it became pretty apparent that he hadn't enjoyed getting toasted by a lexus when he downshifted and flew full throttle past me, bottoming out his shocks going double the speed limit at the bottom of the hill. Hehehehe, that was fun. And before you all start calling BS on this, I know he could have pwned me massively if he'd been ready for a race. Either that or he was seriously the world's suckiest driver. :bigthumb: Boosted1 01-04-2005, 09:09 AM I wouldn't call BS on this. I would, however, suggest that if he had really WANTED to pass you, he would have. LoW_KeY 01-04-2005, 10:05 AM most likely a new driver or he flat out couldn't drive, but once he hit a certain gear he would've been gone. I bet you he's stumped lol :grinno: Boosted1 01-04-2005, 01:16 PM If he had just purchased it that day, he may not have wanted to rip the crap out of it either. What kind of Lexus do you drive? I'm guessing a GS... dampachi 01-04-2005, 04:46 PM Yeah...if that guy really wanted to race you wouldn't be able to touch him. You know...he might not have even been paying attention to you. He might have just been cruising and decided to get on it some. street_racer_00 01-04-2005, 05:17 PM so, do you drive an SC400 or LS400? ec437 01-04-2005, 07:04 PM Ls400 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
