Greenblurr93 01-03-2005, 01:19 PM i have dual mufflers on about a 30 degree angle outward. i just did it this way to be different. u need a custom bent pipe for this effect. eckoman_pdx 01-03-2005, 04:47 PM The Muffler itself won't really give you a performance benifit. You'll need to run the piping. Go to a good custom exhuast shop and have them riun 2 1/4" piping, perferably mendrel bent piping if they are able. While your at it, you can have them tune the sound of the exhuast through the use of various sized resonators. Explain to them how you want it to sound. A good exhuast guy can really tune the exhuast sound to your liking using a resonator, and it will quite the exhuast a tad as well. typerx7 01-04-2005, 02:23 PM ive heard too many bad things about exhaust on a civics that include 2-1/4 inch piping...im not going to be that in depth with my civic because i just want to replace my stock muffler and make it sound better than a crappy muffler with a hole blown in the back of it...my car sounds semi good without that extra hole and its not a huge engine or anything....when i bought the car it had a high flow thrush muffler but i figured a better looking and straight through muffler will do alot mroe good for me than my stock one...im not going to spend that much money on it becuz in less than a year ill have a 2.5 rs to mess with...thnx for the input but just help me get it on my car with that angle im looking for...its not so much of an outward angle more so than and upward angle if u look at the car from the side...any input helps thanx Ace$nyper 01-05-2005, 04:53 PM ive heard too many bad things about exhaust on a civics that include 2-1/4 inch piping...im not going to be that in depth with my civic because i just want to replace my stock muffler and make it sound better than a crappy muffler with a hole blown in the back of it...my car sounds semi good without that extra hole and its not a huge engine or anything....when i bought the car it had a high flow thrush muffler but i figured a better looking and straight through muffler will do alot mroe good for me than my stock one...im not going to spend that much money on it becuz in less than a year ill have a 2.5 rs to mess with...thnx for the input but just help me get it on my car with that angle im looking for...its not so much of an outward angle more so than and upward angle if u look at the car from the side...any input helps thanx if thats your case get a dnyomax or borla even mangaflo box muffler snowman2005 01-06-2005, 07:17 PM u cant put and angle on it like that if ur gona use the stock exhaust and the only 2 mufflers i would ever get are magnaflow oval or os muffler i think their called BennyBakwood007 01-07-2005, 08:55 AM GreenBlurr93 you have any pics of your exhaust?
