WOW..if you look at photos in thread "short circuit", you see that most everything is removed.....and I think that even there, I,d have trouble finding the turn flasher.....but I think I've seen something...somewhere.....I'll have a look just before putting it all back in one piece, take a picture or 2, and post them in future message.

The trun signal/hazard flasher is a small unit located between the fuse block and the brake pedal on a bracket under the driver's side air conditioning duct.

Caution: These models have airbags. Always disconnect the negative battery cable and wait two minutes before working in the vicinity of the steering column or instrument panel to avoid the possiblity of accidental deployment of the airbag which could cause personal injury.

Exactly as A.S. said. here are the photos (I think..could not figure out anything else).

..just positioning the camera was a headache....and this with a fully torn apart dash..
...best way to reach that is to lay down with seat fully reclined, head to floor, feet over the seat back. Watch your head for interference with parking brake pedal and brake pedal.

My pleasure...I like the way having a digital camera makes things easier..a picture ios worth a thousand words.

But......just in case.....what is the problem with your flasher? THis is a really sturdy unit (it has to be , given the place where it is..looks as a permanent fixture) A lot of people go to the flasher unit and the problem is with lights and grounds at the lamp modules...So check first if ALL your lights work properly : this flasher is for emergency flasher as well as turn signal lights . If some lamp is missing or blown out, or have poor grounds, it will not flash properly (well some models will work anyway with more or less lamps but this is the type normally used as an option if you have a trailer attachment).

The Flasher is removable from the attatching point, you need to stick a small screwdriver between the Flasher and the mount to release a tab and it will slide off. Problem is a replacement Flasher at places like AutoZone will not have the slides to remount it back to the bracket as they are a universal type, plus they run about 20 bucks for a replacement.

Like LMP stated, these units are pretty rugged as they are electronic and use a pretty hefty relay for the flashing. If a lamp is out in the Turn Signal circuit the flasher will flash at twice it's normal rate, in 4-way operation you would have to have 3 bulbs out before this condition is noticable.

Before you go and replace the Flasher, like allready said, check and make sure that all the bulbs are working. And if they are then post back exactly the problem you are experiencing with your turn signals before you go and drop cash on something that may not cure the problem.
