1995 325i overheatsbodjie2001 01-03-2005, 03:14 AM I have a 1995 BMW 325i that still overheats after replacing the RADIATOR, FAN CLUTCH, THERMOSTAT, WATER PUMP and 2 radiator hoses and the 2 drive belts. The car will overheat after some 10 to 15 minutes. There's no hot air coming out even when I turn the heater on. Seems like this problem for BMW's are all over. I only use my car on weekends. Anyone, PLEASE HELP!!! beemer5 01-05-2005, 08:07 AM I had the same problem with a 94 325i, and I did the same things you have.. it came down to the head gasket... at the dealer it is about $800 to get replacesed... bodjie2001 01-05-2005, 06:07 PM Thanks beemer5, $800 sounds fair price to me. I live in Los Angeles and my mechanic is charging me $1000 for labor alone + parts. I'm thinking of taking it to the dealer. This car is my baby. I seldom use it and I have converted it to look like M3. I only have 71000 miles on it and I'm so frustrated that it overheated on the way up on the mountain to go on snowboarding. beemer5 01-06-2005, 10:15 PM just a thing.. after you changed all them parts did you bleed the system??? if not you should try that first... bodjie2001 01-12-2005, 09:46 PM Stupid question here. How exactly do you bleed the system? buymeabmwm3 01-14-2005, 07:11 PM there is a coolant bleed valve located near the uppermost portion of the coolant system. (Think where air bubbles would go if allow to rise). Not sure on your car, but on mine its near the throttle body. Drain the coolant, replace the coolant, bleed valve, run engine while bleeding valve, close valve, top off coolant tank. Bentley manual covers it well. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
