And what do you mean it's "chipped"? here's the wiring for vtec though: http://www.hondaswap.com/~pills/obd1guide.html pooped out 93 01-02-2005, 03:31 PM i could not find a single can ecu so a friend had a b-16 ecu so i bought it also by chipped i mean a chip has been installed in the ecu raised rev limiter and all that good stuff jameskersten 01-02-2005, 07:25 PM i could not find a single can ecu so a friend had a b-16 ecu so i bought it also by chipped i mean a chip has been installed in the ecu raised rev limiter and all that good stuff let me get this straight, you put a d series vtec motor in, assuming d16z6 which has a redline of 7200rpm, you then are taking a b16 ecu (rev limiter for a b16 is 8200rpm) and then removed that limiter. so what you are doing is WAY over reviing that poor motor. and your not getting any extra power after like 7500rpm on the d16z6 so i dont see the point of "chipping" that ecu. pooped out 93 01-09-2005, 07:43 PM i just put the ecu in for the mean time no one said that i was taking it to redline its just to get me by for now and if u can tell me where i can get a d16 ecu i would appreciate it CivicSpoon 01-09-2005, 08:16 PM Check a local junkyard (call around) and contact www.passwordjdm.com (http://www.passwordjdm.com), I know they used to sell the jdm p08 (the jdm SOHC d15b vtec) ecu; so maybe if you're lucky they will still sell them. Also you might want to call up www.hmotorsonline.com (http://www.hmotorsonline.com) as well. hontoy 01-10-2005, 01:17 AM i just put a single cam v-tec in my 93 dx i need help wiring the v-tec i am using a b-16 ecu which has been chipped can anyone help. KoHC 01-11-2005, 12:40 AM Since you want more power out of your new engine, find the engine code and get a good aftermarket ECU. I believe Hondata has almost all the major engine covered. That should squeeze out some extra power.
