whoa... i can't believe itUnderground_Killah 01-02-2005, 02:25 AM http://www.big-boys.com/articles/fastvan.html not too big of a d/l but check this one out... talk about using what you got. CivRacer95 01-02-2005, 02:32 AM That's the infamous 12 Sec Astrovan. I've heard of it a few times, and funny thing. I was just thinking of it tonight, as because I saw few of them. Thanks for bringing that up. I was actually just about to look it up too. Nice vid. Late... Underground_Killah 01-02-2005, 02:59 AM yea, i just saw it for the first time tonight... crazy stuff... i had to watch it twice to make sure i wasn't crazy... a 12 sec astrovan... who woulda thunk it. CassiesMan 01-02-2005, 04:59 AM I like the 9 sec geo...thing takes off like a friggen rocket. I've seen that van vid a few times, its pretty insane too... i3o2Matt 01-02-2005, 10:19 AM thats not an astrovan...thats either a caravan or a town n country... fearsomefairmont 01-02-2005, 01:51 PM Bet you wouldn't see that one coming in a street race. I could imagine how a camaro owner would be pissed off. My first car was a '88 Dodge Caravan. What a POS - my friends and I called it the "ghetto cruiser." It had 245K on it, albeit a rebuilt motor and trans just before I got it. Even stock, that thing could lay rubber pretty easy. I even beat my friends '90 cavalier with it. Fastest I hit was 115 on the freeway before I became afraid of the severe shaking occuring. With a worked motor and turboes I could see how it could hit 12's. So - respect the minivan. I still don't think I could pick any chics with it no matter how fast it is, though. Cheers. drdisque 01-02-2005, 05:11 PM if you need a car to pick up chicks then there must be something wrong with you Xbox2202 01-02-2005, 05:52 PM if you need a car to pick up chicks then there must be something wrong with you says the guy driving the ford taurus. Polygon 01-02-2005, 06:21 PM That is way old news. That is a Dodge Caravan or a Plymouth Voyager. You could get them stock with a Turbo I. My dad owned a Chrysler Town & Country with the Turbo I. It made a great sleeper. You can take one of those vans and put a few grand into the engine and be in the 12s. When Chrysler turbo-charges a vehicle they don't screw around. In fact there is a guy I know around here that has a 12 second Caravan as well. You really do have to love that though, fake wood and all. I can't think of a better sleeper. CivRacer95 01-02-2005, 06:27 PM Hey Poly, what does that Caravan happen to look like by chance? Late... Polygon 01-02-2005, 07:29 PM CamaroSSBoy346 01-02-2005, 08:04 PM Yea, my neighobors own a brown one..until they blew it up..lol. i3o2Matt 01-02-2005, 10:53 PM this makes me want to get one and get it to go fast...maybe i'll get one and do a project daily driver 13-second minivan....LMAO that would be awesome... tha_new_guy 01-02-2005, 11:55 PM http://www.xmission.com/~dempsey/blues.jpg That would be his van. Ohhh thats just dirty. Getting beat by that in my nice shiny new SS or something.... :evillol: 147GTA 01-03-2005, 07:02 AM That video was loco. I love it. drdisque 01-04-2005, 08:34 PM says the guy driving the ford taurus. says the guy with an 11 year old camaro with less hp than a taurus. cndctrdj 01-05-2005, 10:59 AM ya those dodge turbo cars rock. it would be fun to have one but they are so rare that youd be hard pressed to find one worth owning. and the turbo k cars were a way better sleeper than the van. seriously its a k car. ive seen video of them running 10's and 9's so they do have some potential Polygon 01-05-2005, 03:02 PM ya those dodge turbo cars rock. it would be fun to have one but they are so rare that youd be hard pressed to find one worth owning. and the turbo k cars were a way better sleeper than the van. seriously its a k car. ive seen video of them running 10's and 9's so they do have some potential There are some that are pretty rare, but for the most part you can find a turbo Daytona pretty damn easy. There are a ton of those. It mostly depends if you want the Turbo I, II, III, or IV. Gary Dovovan has a Reliant that runs 10s, and we even have a guy with a Charger in the 8s. There are a ton of guys in the 11s and 12s. It doesn't cost a lot to make these cars fast. street_racer_00 01-05-2005, 03:34 PM lol....K cars rule. cndctrdj 01-05-2005, 04:54 PM what part of the counrty are you in? there are literally no turbo dodge's up here for sale. im in New England AlienEvolution 01-05-2005, 06:15 PM awesome vid man o.o hopefully i dont get shot for this but.. whats a k car? >.> Polygon 01-05-2005, 06:51 PM what part of the counrty are you in? there are literally no turbo dodge's up here for sale. im in New England I’m in Utah and there isn’t a ton around here but you can find a turbo Daytona if you look for one. I had to fly all the way to Ohio to get my current GTC and drive it back. The eastern half of the country seems to have a lot more TD's than the west. You'll find a lot for sale in Ohio and New Jersey. awesome vid man o.o hopefully i dont get shot for this but.. whats a k car? >.> Well, some people say that it refers to any car that uses the K frame. However, to me a K-car is a K-bodied car such as the K-bodied Chrysler LeBaron, Dodge Aries, Plymouth Reliant, and Dodge K. They are the boxy cars that you normally see old people driving. AlienEvolution 01-05-2005, 07:06 PM thanks =D street_racer_00 01-06-2005, 01:33 AM Is the K car in any way connected with the reason the band "Reliant K" is named just so? Just wondering... Polygon 01-06-2005, 02:57 PM Is the K car in any way connected with the reason the band "Reliant K" is named just so? Just wondering... I had heard that there was some connection, but never found out what it was. cndctrdj 01-06-2005, 11:59 PM my friend has a 2.5 turbo shadow, but he looked for about 7 months and he went to three diff states to find the right one. and even that one needed a whole rebuild from top to bottom vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
