Emergency-brake lightwerks2much 01-01-2005, 10:12 PM I have a 2001 Trooper and the emergency-brake light wouldn't go off when I disengaged the emergency-brake. The Trooper drove fine and I could use the emergency brake to stop the vehicle, so I don't think the rear brakes were dragging. The light stayed on for a day or two (this was during really cold weather) then when it warmed up the light turned off and I haven't had the problem reoccur. Anyone know what the problem might be or where to start looking? I don't think the brake was hanging up but possibly a switch or something instead. Thanks. amigo-2k 01-02-2005, 12:04 AM switch is your best bet rodeo02 01-02-2005, 06:18 AM Another thing to check is the brake fluid reservoir. Some vehicles will illuminate the brake light when the fluid is low. Not sure if this applies to troopers, but easy'nuf to check :smokin: G/luck Joel werks2much 01-02-2005, 10:40 PM Thanks guys!! werks2much 01-16-2005, 09:44 AM Finally got to where I could check the fluid level and sure enough it was low. Also looks like I have 20-30% left on the pads. Thanks for the advice!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
