I was looking on egocars.net and saw that a good amount ofthe cars were poppin' wheelies like nothin! How the hell do they do it? What else do I need in my '74 Nova? It has a 350ci small block, headers, true dual exhaust, holley 4brl carb.... what else?

its all about the gears to do that

Its basically everything in the back end. Of course having a good tranny helps too.

Well you'll have to figure it out, theirs alot of people that know whats best. All Depends on the engine and tranny. Plus also if your using your car for street or strip.

Like everyone else said the right gears and engine setup will jerk those front wheels off the ground like nothing. Also depends on how much torque your engine is putting out. You can get torque gains by playing with your timing, retarding the timing will give you more horsepower but less torque and advancing your timing will give you more torque but less horspower, only take this to a certain extent though.

To pop a wheelie you have to have an all around pretty well built car.. A motor putting out good power, a very high stall converter helps, a tranny able to take that power your motors making, a driveshaft thats gonna stay in place, a rearend that wont sling apart with all the power your putting to it, a fairly low gear to get you off the line hard, some wide ass sticky tires that are going to hook, the proper suspension to allow weight transfer to the rear wheels, and beefy front suspension to handle the landing... thats just about it... :icon16:. Thats all if you want to do it right anyway.

It will take power and traction. My buddy would pull the driver wheel about 3 feet on totally stock suspension all the way around and 3.42 gears in the 10bolt.
