It moves in every direction except forward and backward. Is the switch bad?

switch or motor. Check to see if you have power going to the switch. Then check to see if you have power going to the seat motor when the switch is closed.

I have a 91 Ford Taurus SHO that has the same problem with the seats. But in mine I have to raise the seat almost to full height before the seats will move forward or back this is on both the driver and passenger side. Maybe this will help u get yours to work I just realized it on 4/10/05 after having the car for 4 months when I went to clean and couldn't get the seats to move. Hope it helps
