Just wondering if anyone has replaced their stock Infinity Gold front and rear speakers with Kappas. I'm planning on putting Kappa 60.5cs components up front, and Kappa 652.5i 6 3/4" coaxials in the rear doors. My question is whether I'm going to need speaker adapter brackets for either one. Crutchfield says that for the 6 3/4" rear speakers I will need to re-drill holes, but for the front 6.5" woofers it says that I won't need brackets even though every other 6.5" speaker seems to need one. Do these Kappas up front fit the factory mounting holes? Also, does anyone know how to remove the front tweeters from the dash in a 98?

I couldn't tell you about your JGC, but for mine....I built brackets for all my door speakers. That way I didn't have to drill the door at all. Basically I just made a 1/4" thick speaker mount adapter and they have held up excellent! Check other threads on here. There's been many that have changed out their speaker systems.
