I realize this question has been brought up a quite a few times and im sorry for bringing it up again.Ive read through a bunch of posts and have searched the forums but have not found a deffinate answer.. I just currently received a 97 Cavalier base model 2.2l auto.. Well my problem is i cant find a decent intake to get for my car.Ive rumaged through the aem website and ive searched for my car and they either only have a short ram for a 2.4l z24 or a cold air for the 98 and above model.Well my question is can someone point out a decent intake for my car..I dont mind short ram and i dont mind cold air..Any help would be appreciated Thanks ahead of time

AEM cold intake for 97 2.2 from NOPI, www.nopionline.com $260., Injen intake for same $196, NOPI. Weapon R dragon/hyper Intake $109 from NOPI.

Calssicrockjunkie? Do you realise that your intake is sucking hot air from your engine bay and not giving you as many horses as it could. A vent above you battery in your hood. (above the battery so it doesn't get wet when raining) with a scoop or just some mesh would help.

You betcha... Like i said before, it is a custom fabricated intake. RD Fabs is the name of the business and i found them through J-body.org and better yet they were only 15 minutes from where i live. Chris and Ryan work together doing almost everything possible. Full Exhausts, intakes, headers, e.t.c. They have fitted a CAI extension onto the 2200 intake on chris's sunfire. http://www.j-body.org/members/agentomega/

Also they are in the process of opening a new shop In Port Byron NY and i have been helping them install wireing, insulation, lights and building the office... and also it being winter all mods on my car have stopped till spring. If anyone else is interested click on Chris's JBO profile linked above and get in touch with him...

... and what i paid for it... it would give those who bought the short ram injen or AEM intake a heartattack... those run $200+... i payed 100 less than them and it came with the K&N filter...

The latter. Come on man you are usually pretty sharp! I learned from books, TV (english car programs are a lot better, that being my homeland) Magazines, I always fully understand the tech column by Dave Coleman although I've never met anyone else who can say that! It just gets lodged in my brain when it's about cars. Anything else and it's gone as soon as I've heard it. Cars are the most important thing after the Woman, and i'm only saying that because if she get's in my head again and see's she's number two then I'm in for a whooping.!! When it's about cars it's serious anything else I post is proabaly just fun. Hmm think I'll change the text in my sig!!
