Gas mileage for 90 Rolla 4a-fe?

I have a haynes service manual that quotes my fuel capacity should be 12 gallons, but when the needle is on empty it takes about 8.5 galons to fill up.

I get 275-300 miles when I hit "E" and that calculates to about 32MPG. If this is true I should be able to go close to 400 miles before filling up.

Am I right? Does a 1990 Rolla sedan with 4a-fe have a 12 gallon tank?

Thanks

i've gotten 435 Miles on a single tank of gas with my 91 Coup 4afe sr5. 12.2 Gallon tank... if you sit and bounce the car a bit while filling up, you can squeeze a lot into that little car!

According to edmunds.com, all the Corollas that year had a 13.2 gal tank.

Click on a model and then select "Specifications".
