How to tell if Neon is ACR or not??amitusmaximus 03-06-2002, 05:26 PM I am looking at buying a 1997 Dodge Neon. I am not sure if its an ACR or not. It is a 4 door, SOHC which I understand did come on the ACR sedans. It also has KONI struts, which I believe the ACR's had. Does this mean its an ACR? Did base models have KONI struts? Any other characteristics I should look for?? Santonucci 03-07-2002, 04:34 AM Koni's were an ACR deal only. But a sure fire way is to run the VIN number on it. KatWoman 03-07-2002, 01:47 PM Another tell tale sign of the ACR is that the car literally has no options (power windows, locks, etc.) and there are foglite holes in the bumpers but there are no foglites. I believe they also came with only DOHC motors too, but I could be wrong. 4 door ACR's are more rare but they are out there. dodgeneonacr1998 09-19-2003, 09:05 PM The Acr's came in DOHC and I think in SOHC also. They have no power options windows, locks, ect. You can get an a/c. They come with koni adjustable struts adjustable on the rebound. If they are koni's you can look underneath the car up at the inside of the strut and see the koni emblem. If they are koni's and there is no knob on the tops of the struts to adjust them tell the dealer you want 'em.Id rather have a dohc.------willy---->http://cardomain.members//dodgeneonacr1998 is my car domain site check out my ride....PEACE!!!!!!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
