When and where can I see it race??? Why shouldn't they mass produce a mustang with the 5.0L cammer? Call it the Mustang Cobra or Mustang GTR whatever? Just give it to me!

The GTR was a concept Ford put together (which has inspired a Ford Racing body kit for the new 'Stang) in order to show off their "body in white" racing Mustang program.

Basically, the program entails regular folk being able to buy a running Mustang that's only painted in basic white that's been stripped of everything so that it's easier to make a race car out of it. The 5.0L Cammer engine is going to be available as a "plug n play" crate engine for the body in white Mustang race cars.

Already, two of the race Mustangs have been delivered to SCCA Formula Drift teams. Gushi Auto has one as a full factory effort with Ken Gushi driving, and Team Falken has the other with Jr. Gitten doing the driving.

That was quite the ugly car.
