squeaky doors2tall 12-28-2004, 04:45 PM 2002 2500 4x4 Does anyone know what lubricant works best to stop the squeaks on the wheater stripping on quad-cab doors. The last time i was in the dealer they lubed it up, with what I'm not sure, but they made it worse. Tks much. food4me 12-29-2004, 11:09 PM did you try WD40 fredjacksonsan 12-30-2004, 09:09 AM I've heard silicon will both lube them up and help keep them supple. Fullsquish 01-06-2005, 10:29 PM WD40 is technically a solvent and if you use it on anything that you want to keep lubed up you are eventually going to do just the opposite...remove all the lube. Silicone is a good choice. CrucialConcepts 01-29-2005, 06:15 PM Use White Silicon Spray works GREAT!!! A97 01-29-2005, 10:27 PM i put a small amount of vaseline on it reapplied maybe 1 or 2 times a year but i know the silicone based sprays work to. someone suggested the vaseline after it drove me nuts but yet i kept on forgetting to buy more cousincletus 02-01-2005, 07:10 PM You can get the silicone spray at the parts store for around 3-4 bucks a can. Also works well on window guides. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
