I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD, 4.0L I-6
the airbag light is on . anyone out there can tell me were to start to find the problem :uhoh:

last time my airbag light came on and stayed , i disconected the battery for a few min , reconected it , and the light went out , hope that helps you

i removed the batt cable and held the key on for about 30 sec . when i put the cable back on (after reseting the alarm)started the car and the airbag light just stay on as before.

The only way to diagnostic aproblem with the Air bag is with a Scan Tool, the ones that have ABS and Air Bag capability. Usallly the clockspring or the Air Bag Module is at fault but this is something you cant guess at.Try disconnecting the negative battery cable for about 5 min. If this dosent reset it You will have to it take to somone who can do a diagnostic check.
