My 1997 Grand Prix SE won't start. Battery is fine. When I turn the ignition, it sounds like it's starting to turn over, then I hear a few clicking sounds and the power goes dead. Clock resets to 1:00.
Electrical problem? (FYI, it's about -5 degrees Celsuis).

I'm going to take it you had the battery checked. It sure sounds like that would be it. At 5 below a battery has to work hard to turn any motor over. May want to bring it inside to warm. With the clock restting, you are losing power.
I hate weather.

I would load test that battery.

It may show 12 volts on your meter, but if it pulls down below 9 when attempting to start its pooched.

May want to check the connections at the battery and starter as well.

Well, I'll end the suspense. It was the battery after all. Replaced it and the car starts without a hitch. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
