X-mas Gift to myself, finally got my 20's on!TurboSW 12-26-2004, 01:19 PM These are Dodge 03/05 20" polished aluminum wheels with Mastercraft 285/50/20 HTR plus tires. I had some custom center caps milled to accommodate the bearing cap. Now that this is done I'll get the rear disc brake conversion going. Here's a picture. http://forums.sirstevesguide.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9871 http://forums.sirstevesguide.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9870 BleedDodge 12-26-2004, 02:37 PM Pimpin' still ain't easy... Looks like a horse would probably ride smoother than that, a short little truck with those big dubs. How is it? TurboSW 12-26-2004, 06:16 PM Pimpin isn't as hard as you think. :sunglasse The profile of the tire isn't as low as you think. The rid isn't any different than before. The truck does happen to handle better on curves/turns and the tires no longer chirp like the old stock ones did. A big plus with me. The tires foot print in much wider, so I guess that's why. An other big plus is that I can't hear the tires on the road anymore. That was one of the features of this particular tire. This turned into a big and drug out project. From finding out I had to have my brother mill some custome center caps to finding out how much the tires would cost me. There was too much time and money to quit. Now that they are on I can say I'm more than happy with the result. fredjacksonsan 12-27-2004, 10:53 AM Looks pretty good; I guess the new 20's fit on the older models. What wheels did you have on previously? TurboSW 12-27-2004, 11:46 AM Looks pretty good; I guess the new 20's fit on the older models. What wheels did you have on previously? Thanks. They do fit with so modifications. The lug pattern is the same obviously, but the inner hub on the 20's are 1/16" smaller than the wheels I had on. So I had to mill that out as well. Then in order to place the largest tire in the well I had to use a 1/4 spacer on the front wheel. The tire still stays inside of the wheel well. Previously I had those stock chrome 16's from the factory with those big plactic chrome caps. So it really makes a big difference to me. indyram 12-28-2004, 01:04 AM No just a few more things: paint your upper bumper cover and lower air dam the same as the truck, clear corner lenses, billet grill, toneau cover, and slam that thing to the ground. Other than that they look awesome. BleedDodge 12-28-2004, 01:36 AM That would be too much red. I had thought of painting the top and bottom of my front bumper but I couldn't do it, I thought it would look overdone... TurboSW 12-28-2004, 11:36 AM No just a few more things: paint your upper bumper cover and lower air dam the same as the truck, clear corner lenses, billet grill, toneau cover, and slam that thing to the ground. Other than that they look awesome. I feel the same as BleedDodge does about too much red. If I painted the bumper parts then I'd have to paint the door handles as well. At that point, I might as well just shave them off (not a bad idea :sunglasse ). I might get a stainless Speed grill (everyone and their grandma have a billet grill) and clear corners, I'm am getting a Toneau cover, but there is no way in hell that I'm going to lower her. The rear is lowered 2 inches already to level her out and the tires I have are too big to go any lower in the front. Thanks for the ideas. I know not everyone is going to like how it looks. BTW your indy truck looks sweet. If I had the $ for a new one I'd go that direction, but you might want to add some clear corners and some new mirrors to her. Thats if the after market has made them yet. whoamioitsme 01-13-2005, 10:46 PM Gotta say i like it!!
