Taking over maint. for a friend's '96 Voyagermlp-mx6 12-25-2004, 10:59 PM I have a friend who is going through some hard times. So I'll be picking up the maintenance on the '96 Plymouth Voyager. It has a 3.0L V6 - I think this is a Mitsu engine? Under 100K miles, but I'm not sure what the exact mileage is on the vehicle. So - what do I need to know? Currently there seems to be a weeping oil leak from the front valve cover gasket. Thanks for your help, folks! I would make sure the oil is new, the plugs and wires are in good shape and that the timing belt has been changed recently. The 3.0 has a belt and if not changed should it break could cause you a lot of problems. I would change the front valve cover gasket as it may leak more after a period of time. Cost for all of this is minimal and should be easy to do yourself. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
