this is for my '87 honda crx carb'd

i have a problem with sudden power loss. Ill be driving on the highway and ill loose power for 2-5 seconds and then regain it and be back on my way.

this may happen 3-4 times consecutively. it happens worst after the car has been parked for 3 hours after a drive. it is very random.


my father figures its a fuel issue, and said it smelled like it was running lean when he was following me. he recommened checking out the screen/fuelfeed in the tank as there maybe something blocking it.

im going to do this, but im just looking for other ideas as to what the problem may be.

While reading the forum trying to find a solution to my problem - I found yours. I have a 87' honda wagon 1.5 that has what sounds like the same problem you had. Randomly, while driving I'll lose all power (tach to 0), some tries at ignition, and than finally a steady restart that would poise no fruther problem for as long as 2 weeks or as short as 1 day. Did you ever find your problem? If so I'd like to know its solution. Thanks
