Sorry, I'm new here. I posted this to Cherokee before I noticed the GRAND CHEROKEE forum. Anyway:

Problem 1.

I purchased 3 replacement infrared remotes on e-bay for my '94 Ltd. Grand Cherokee. Followed the instructions to re-program the system to the remotes. Door open key on wait for blinks.....you know the drill. Not even my old remote (which works) will make the system respond to the sequence. Could the board in the overhead console be locked? Can it be reset. My vehicle will not respond to this sequence.

Problem 2.

I recently replaced the power antenna with an aftermarket one. I removed the relay and rewired the antenna motor to match the oem Jeep unit. Antenna does not work with vehicle (does work with batt. charger). I thought I might have fried the relay so I replaced with a new one. When I turn on the radio, the relay clicks. Turn off the radio and the relay clicks. I unplugged the connector on the passenger side behind the little kick panel. I have metered this connection and I'm getting no voltage. Problem I believe is between the radio and the relay but I can't figure it out.

Problem 3.

Cruise control never worked since we've owned the vehicle. I have noticed recently a 6 pin connector below the steering column that appears to be disconnected. Don't know if this is for diagnostic equipment or someone disconnected it.

I know that's a lot but, electrical problems and the '94 GCL seem to go hand in hand.

Thanks.

Rob

Hey Rob,
I don't know how much of a help this will be, but here is a link with info on all three of your problem areas. If it doesn't allow to access it, you may have to register, but its free and will never cost you anything. Just enter in your year and vehicle info.
